Leratong Hospice operates in the City of Tshwane (formerly Pretoria) and specifically targets the communities of Atteridgeville and Saulsville, two African townships 20 km west of the capital. It is located next to squatter camps surrounding Attridgeville and its patients are mostly from Atteridgeville, Saulsville and Meshongoville informal settlements including: Jeffsville, Brazzaville, Siyahlala, etc. Approx. 500,000 people live in the locality.
